Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “good faith estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or do not plan to use insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services.
Dr. Young currently accepts the following insurance plans: Medicare
Initial Consultation - Psychodiagnostic Interview
Individual, Couples, and Family Sessions
Appointment times can be shortened at a pro-rated amount: $75 for a 30-minute session and $112.50 for a 45-minute session. These must be arranged ahead of time. Patients will be required to pay the full hour regardless of time spent or late arrivals if not.
Groups last 90 minutes and costs vary depending on the nature and content of the group. Currently, Dr. Young offers a monthly support group for healthcare workers, the cost of which is $20 per session.
Consultation Requested by Patient: In the event consultation with another professional or agency is requested, the typical pro-rated hourly rate of $150 will apply after 15 minutes.
Telephone/Email/Text Contact: Therapeutic contact – that which is not informational or related to scheduling – will also be billed at the pro-rated hourly rate of $150 after 15 minutes.
Letters and Forms: Any documentation of forms or letters will cost $40 for each 15 minutes or fraction thereof until complete.
Legal Fees: I charge $275 per hour for legal services related to preparation, phone consultation with professionals, record copying, travel time, time spent waiting, and time spent testifying.
Sliding Fee: I keep a few select slots open for sliding fee scale patients as low as $75. The fee is negotiated between the patient and myself. Patients who utilize the sliding fee are not able to submit claims to insurance for my services.
